0:06.0	the person who started my career Ashton Kucher. We've known each other for about
0:10.9	15 years now and I can say he has been endlessly generous to me over that time.
0:16.6	And it was really, really nice to thank him face to face.
0:20.8	But in retrospect, if I'm being dead honest, after he left it occurred to me
0:25.8	I stopped short of what I should have really said. As you will hear shortly, Punk was the biggest
0:31.8	break of my professional life, and I've never been so excited to get a job.
0:36.8	It was very successful, and I should have felt nothing but gratitude for that experience, but
0:42.3	as happens with me, my ego complicated and tainted that experience almost immediately.
0:47.0	And I was able to admit that to him during the conversation,
0:51.0	but I realized after he left that I really owed him an
0:53.9	apology for that. I can only assume that as I was trying to distance myself from
0:58.6	the show it must have felt like I was also trying to distance myself from
1:02.1	him which is terrible because he could not have possibly
1:06.1	been more supportive or quicker to share credit with me. He was a mentor and an ally, and I deeply
1:11.6	regret if it ever felt like I was trying to distance myself from him.
1:15.2	I should have said that to him. Maybe I still will. But at any rate, I really enjoyed combing through
1:20.5	our shared history together and I applaud his candor and humility.
