Though this case took the investigators across the country to find

their person of interest, none of the leads have, so far, helped to find Ashley. I'm Charlie,

0:29.4

and welcome to crime lines. Hello and welcome to crime lines and another bonus episode for this December.

This is a case that I covered back when I was doing some YouTube videos years ago.

0:48.8

So like 120 of you have heard the original coverage I did. My friend Jess helped me out with the research

0:56.1

on it back then, but of course I want to update it since it has been a few years and a little bit

because it happened in my area-ish.

1:59.0

awareness to the case. So today we are talking about Ashley Renee

Martinez, who was born in January of 1989, two parents, Abel, and Tammy. She was the only girl

2:10.8

in the family with a half-brother, as well as an older brother and a younger brother who she grew up

with.

Ashley was a smart and funny child who grew into an opinionated teenager as bright and witty children often do. As such, she did have some conflict with her mom and her stepfather
