But as any parent will know, they are far more than this.

They are victories, small wins and happy moments,

stories to tell, share, record and dates to remember.

I can clearly recall the moment the buzz crawled.

This was partly because in the days and possibly weeks leading up to it, he teased us

with this little, I'm going to crawl, I'm going to do it, I'm going to make an attempt.

No, no, no, he did not.

But eventually it was his favourite toy that tempted him to make that giant leap across the carpet.

It was amazing. It was beautiful.

The moment was obviously videoed. That video was then put into the WhatsApp group.

There are a lot of very proud grandparents I can tell you. We were all very, very proud.

There can be a lot of pressure to make sure that kids aren't falling behind and comparing them

to others, or in my case, comparing them to each other.

But it's good to remember each milestone takes practice before you get there.
