As always, this is the Elder Scrolls podcast, and today we are talking about the Ashlanders of Morrwind.

Yes, they are a very traditional people and their culture, I suppose, is truest to the

Kima from ancient times who left supposedly from Somerset and traveled all the way to

Morrowind following prophet prophet Velloth.

Well, obviously, following the teachings of the three good Deidre.

And they basically were Kima like all the Dunma were.

But when the rest of the Dunma basically formed great houses and became

all civilized and kind of started running societies and stuff, the Ashlanders stayed true to the

really like traditional, almost indeed, well, they're not indigenous, but you know what I mean,

that kind of primal life is what they stay true to. And arguably, they even regressed further than they actually did in ancient times,

because it said that they had strongholds long ago that they'd live in. But, you know, by the time of

Morrowind and onwards, it seems like they've really kind of embraced the natural hot life.

I think that's what really separates them from the rest of Dunma society is that,

you know, when the kind of people came to Resdain, which is now called Morowind,

it was it was all about survival. It was, you know, following the teachings of the good
