That's when it got wheels off. Asher Perlman is a cartoonist.

He is a writer on the late show with Stephen Colbert.

He is a stand-up comedian, performer, improv performer, stage actor. He's a lot of things. All of them, I think,

utilize his superior wit, quirky sense of humor, and to my mind, real kind of sweetheartedness.

He's a fascinating dude, joins me from Brooklyn,

and it was a real pleasure to get to speak with Asher.

When I lived in L.A., I got to be around comedians and improv folks and writers, TV writers, all the time.

You know, these last couple of decades living in the country of the Hudson Valley, I don't get quite as much of that.

And I felt immediately at home talking to Asher and hearing his

take on his creative journey. I think you really enjoyed it. It's interesting. He says so many

things that dovetail into my core beliefs, you know, intuition, and believing in yourself and trusting

your instinct and going with the flow. And I really love that. I think this is also got a bunch of

this interview has a bunch of really useful, like actionable, just advice about real good day-to-day

kind of stuff. Anyway, I think you guys are going to love this. If you go out and check out

Asher's Instagram feed, you'll see that his comics, his cartoons, are hilarious. His book should probably just have come out right
