Okay I'm very excited for today's episode. I've decided to do something not

terribly different but a little new

new little segment I wanted to I've been missing our friend

Christopher Hitchins lately I've just been wishing his voice were still around.

He was always so amazing to read.

Whether you agreed with everything or not, I mean, it was just looking at his writing, it's like,

man, if you go back and read stuff it's like that kind of just

brilliance is really missing nowadays and anyway so I'd been thinking about that and I've seen on

my shelf that I have the portable atheist which is quite long and

I had never gotten through. I read a lot of it but I sort of lost track because it's it is very long and there's other books I wanted to read.

But I was thinking I should just go do like a, you know, somewhat, I don't know if it would be weekly monthly you know

semi-weekly semi-month whatever every every once in a while do a reading or however I

don't know if they're really short some of them are going to be a varying length,

but, and we could work our way through the portable atheists together.

And it doesn't, obviously, doesn't have to be all the time so that if people don't like it then they will still like the rest of my show and if you do like it, it'll still be there.

So yeah, I'm just really looking forward to this because I had a lot of fun. I can read read I'm not going to read through it word for word but I'm going to go through the like main points of the of each section or of each selection and you know go through the logic of it if depending on what it is I mean

there's a lot of varied pieces in here so it just sort of is going to depend what the

particular selection is so So for this one, well first off I figured

I might as well start with the beginning of the book. Christopher Hitchin's, the dedication is to primo levy who I've I remember

Hitchin's referencing and you might remember too in some of his debates. He has a few quotes here from some of his books

and it's just heartbreaking stuff.
