All right, let's just get right back over to part two

0:40.0

with the researchers who did the no child left alone study.

0:44.4

Really interesting stuff.

0:45.6

People had some comments.

0:46.6

I think a lot of the comments may actually be answered in part two.

0:50.8

So I'll give you part two and then we'll see where we are from there. I guess maybe I'm a little more worried than you that this the evidence is great and the study is great but

1:15.9

how much are people going to listen to evidence and studies you know are you

1:19.2

worried that that it we won't be I and to be, like, this really is the reason I wanted to have you guys on,

1:56.6

now that I know, are afraid to leave their kids alone,

2:00.1

not because they think anything will happen to the kids,

2:02.1

but because they're afraid that somebody will call the cops right and that's I don't think that's a phobia because it's relatively common.

2:08.4

Yeah, yeah that's not yeah certainly it's not actually an unrealistic fear. My hope is in, let me see, a couple of things. There's a strong libertarian tradition in the U.S. There's a tradition of people saying, you know, parents should be able to make decisions for their kids and the law should not get involved unless there's real demonstrable statistically significant not even not just statistically

2:34.1

significant but practically significant danger yeah and so that's one
