Today we're learning the past tense forms of estar, and we're actually going to learn two different types of past tense.

That means that we're going to use two different areas in the Estar magic shop for two

different past tenses. First of all, the pandas remain in the entryway, and they help Estar clean up

the paper stars that we learned about in the previous episode,

but Joel and the Lizard go back to the Isles of Merchandise.

Now what do the Isles of Merchandise represent?

As we go through the rest of this lesson,

we're going to use the different areas of the Estar shop,

very much like we use the Seer shop. The present tense is in

the entrance, which we covered in the previous episode, the past tense is behind the counter,

and other tenses and moods are outside. But why are Joel and the lizard going to the merchandise aisles? What does that mean?

You might remember that in Seir's shop, Joel and his friends never ended up buying anything.

After they walked into the store, they went straight to the checkout counter. However,

in Estar, they're going to a place that we didn't see in Ser's store.

In fact, there's an entire tense that we skipped when we learned Ser.

We didn't go to her merchandise area at all.

Now that's because this new tense in the shopping aisles called the Prederate Tense isn't used very much in CER.

But it is used pretty often with estar, so we're going to introduce it here.
