Whatever day you're listening to this or whatever time of day you're listening to this, I hope that things are going well for you.

I've done a few podcasts in the history of House of Elle, where I've talked to people who have spent time living abroad.

And I'm fascinated by it, my friend Paul, we talked about his life living in Colombia,

and it was great.

And I gotta tell you, I'm. And it might be that I turn

might be that I turn 49.

It might be that I've been really lucky and in my career I haven't had to leave Chicago.

So I haven't had the experience of moving to another place and living there and figuring if I like it better. I can't imagine that that would be the case but you know whatever's

maybe it wouldn't be the case but I got to tell you that over the last few months,

I've been thinking a lot about the opportunity

that is

relatively healthy and I don't have

healthy and I don't have kids.

So, and I have enough money to take some time off if that's what I choose to do.

That's a luxury.

You know, I'm well aware of like how hard it is for a lot of people and yes, I have worked hard. I work in an industry that's allowed me to make a good living and I save like a squirrel so in thinking about like what that money is, I know that a big portion of it

belongs to my nieces and nephews, you know that that money that I have squirreled away will hopefully pay for whatever it is

their hearts desire if they decide they want to go to college or need help buying a car at some point, then that money is there for them.

But there are days, you know, there are days when I get home and I say I love home and I love Chicago and I love
