Today, the world has been watching an all-out invasion of Ukraine.

Russian military forces have entered the country from all directions.

Air strikes hit cities across the country, even in the west, close to the Polish border.

Russian forces took hold of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and ground forces moved in

from the north, south, and east.

Our colleague Brett Forest is on the ground there.

It is a full-scale attack across the entire country.

Russia seems to have taken a strategy of, if you will, death by a thousand cuts dropping

in or pushing in, the smaller numbers of forces in many, many places across the country,

forcing Ukraine to fight on many, many different fronts and stretching its resources very thin.

There are reports of dozens of Ukrainian casualties, including civilians.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said there was no other way to defend Russia other than

to invade.

He's indicated that he wants to topple the government in the capital Kiev, and Russian troops

are moving in on the city.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said the country won't give up its freedom.

And on the ground, people are bracing for what their future may hold.

This is a devastating event.

People just don't know what will come.

They don't know what life will be like under Russian occupation, if that's indeed what's

coming.

And it's possible it could be coming very quickly.
