Summary

As China remains a prominent threat, families continue to face economic woes, and President Biden’s approval ratings keep dropping in the polls, it has become clear that many Americans may be ready for a change of leadership in 2024. As many Republican candidates step up to hopefully become the party’s next presidential nominee, they must first take a trip on the campaign trail to attract voters. One of their first, and most important, stops is Iowa — and as many GOP candidates make their way across the state to meet voters, it’s already becoming evident which candidates are standing out & who may be falling behind. On the Rundown, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA) discusses the first impressions candidates have been making on her constituents & what qualities Iowans want in a President. She also discusses how the Chinese Communist Party is targeting America’s food security as they attempt to steal seeds & agricultural technology in her state and why she believes ‘Bidenomics’ is a “complete & total sham” as she continues seeing families’ struggle. Engaging in prostitution will soon no longer be a crime in Maine, becoming the first state to partially decriminalize it with one major caveat: it will still be illegal to buy sex. Now in New York, state lawmakers are also weighing a bill that would go even further with full decriminalization, but it has reignited debate over whether this is a step in the right direction. New York Republican State Senator Anthony Palombo and Vice President of the National Center of Sexual Exploitation Eleanor Gaetan join the podcast to explain what action the government should be taking and why full decriminalization could do more harm than good for sex trafficking victims. Plus, commentary by columnist David Marcus. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
