Hey, this is Beth. Listen, what we live for at Living Proof is to serve people, the Word of God.

We base our ministry on Hebrews 412 that tells us that the word is alive and active.

We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today and that God

is going to speak through it. Thank you so much for giving us this privilege. Let me walk today

in the miracle of self-forgetfulness so that I don't express myself to others in such a way

to get them to love me back.

It's a miracle.

Got so much of our own need wrapped up in our loving.

Number one, we believe it's love.

Number two, we demonstrate the love.

Number three, we lay down our lives in the loving.

Number four, this is sometimes the harder of the two.

Now, remember, the whole concept of this portion of John chapter 15 is we are then to do what he has done. As he is loved, we are to love.

Now, I want you to see something he describes here. I just found this. I'm going to take you into concept now. Not such tight theology as much as I want you to see an example and let's learn

something by concept. Look with me in verse 13 and 16. we already saw greater love has no one than this and he laid down his life

for his friends and then it says in verse 16 you did not choose me but i chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit

fruit that will last all right right. Stare back at

verse 13. Everybody looking at verse 13? You see that phrase lay down? That's one Greek word.

And that one Greek word to themy, that one Greek, and I'm talking about the lexical form of the word,

is exactly the same word being translated there. And again, I'm giving you the lexical form of the word is exactly the same word being translated
