Greetings your listeners, this is Jonah Goldberg, host of the Remnant Podcasts,

days for a birthday trip for my lovely wife through all sorts of logistical snafoos and whatnot.

We are recording this.

Normally we record the second episode of the week

on Wednesdays, but instead we're doing this

without a net on Thursday morning and I pump it out same day.

I just thought I should give you that context so you know what's going on also because I don't know what I'm going to talk about yet and want to give myself a chance to think and

we figured we needed somebody who could come in at a moment's notice and talk about anything.

I also had a abiding interest in finding someone more

curmudgeonly and misanthropic than myself and that is a very narrow crawl space

but we've managed to do it by bringing in our own Kevin Williamson a you know

Dispatch writer longtime friend author of many fine books and

Father of what is going to what is shaping up to be a very large dynasty

Kevin welcome back to the remnant. Yeah two years ago no kids now for how's all that going? It's good. They're you know mostly cheerful

Entertaining amusing little bunch of gentlemen

They're loud you know there's I tell my wife sometimes that you know there's a reason I lived alone until I was 46 years old

And part of that is that I'm not good with people but no they're they're great they're they're

they're fun and my wife of course does much of the hard stuff at this point
