In Alice Seabold's novel, The Lovely Bones, George Harvey is an odd but unassuming loner in a suburban landscape.

He lives a seemingly normal life as a single man in his 30s, but behind closed doors, he harbors a disturbing secret.

George is actually a serial rapist and killer of young girls.

And when he murders his 14-year-old neighbor, his misleading exterior allows him to avoid justice.

That's what makes him so terrifying, not just what he does, but how easily

he goes unnoticed. But this kind of predator is not confined to fiction. In the late

70s, parents in Utah believed their children were safe in their regular routines,

riding bikes around their neighborhoods, playing with their friends.

But what they did not know was that a man they would never think to fear was quietly studying

His name was Arthur Gary Bishop, and behind his ordinary exterior was a man driven by compulsive sexual fantasies and an escalating need to satiate his violent urges,
