The reality is that we assume that oil equals gasoline,

but oil equals far more than gasoline,

and each barrel of oil requires a certain sequence of when the different products are distilled off.

With me today for a second conversation on the Great Simplification is my colleague Art Berman, who is a petroleum geologist, who's going to explain the importance of refining and other products than gasoline in a barrel of oil.

What this means for the future, why we are currently having a diesel shortage and higher prices, especially in the East Coast,

and what this all means for the future.
