Summary

On this episode of Thick & Thin we are exploring the mysterious Stendhal Syndrome, AKA an “Art Attack” brought on from being exposed to objects, artworks, or phenomena of great beauty. Plus, I talk about what’s been going on in my life recently; a flooded apartment, a new foster pet, and my outlook on 2021. // Follow me on IG: instagram.com/katybellotte // Become a patron! https://www.patreon.com/katybellotte // SOURCES: Stendhal Syndrome | Medical News Today Having an Art Attack | Pyschology Today Overdosing on Beautiful Art | Mentalfloss Learn more about your ad choices. And Hey guys, welcome back to thick and thin with me Katie Bilotti and

0:18.8

true transparency here. I have tried to record this introduction probably a dozen times now and each time I just like get

0:28.1

tongue tied and have to start over and guys that's just the reality of being a podcaster. I mean you listen to it and you're like,

0:36.8

wow this person they're speaking so well and they're doing such a great job with this

0:40.5

episode and you never think about how they've just sat there and like staring at

0:46.4

their wall thinking wow I can't do this right now or wow this is horrible no one's going to

0:51.7

care about this like all the self-deprecating comments and things

1:35.2

episode recorded because we had a just nightmarish situation happen in our

1:39.7

apartment where we had one rainstorm and our apartment just like was not up to code or something.

1:46.5

We're still figuring it out what happened but there was just water coming in from

1:50.6

every corner from every window from all areas and a total like bubble

1:57.2

situation I've never seen this happen before but when like water pools in your

2:00.7

ceiling and a bubble forms and then eventually it pops and there's just

2:05.6

water shooting out of your ceiling at an alarming speed and you have to get

2:11.1

buckets and towels and everything is brown and yeah that in a

2:15.9

nutshell was what happened last week in our apartment we're very lucky to have
