Summary

In this episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast, Tim and Jamie look back over the 4-1 win over LCL on the opening day of the WSL season. They consider the selection of Katie Reid at centre-half and whether she will continue in the position while Leah Williamson is injured, a slow start to the game, Olivia Smith's moment of magic, the impact of the 'game changers' from the bench and whether this match points to a more fluid use of the squad this season. In the second half, Tim and Jamie answer listener questions on the Sunday synchronised kickoffs, Kyra Cooney-Cross and selection for Friday's game at West Ham.

However, I feel like of the 90 minutes, I probably watched 45 because all international fans will probably sympathise with the fact that the stream was genuinely woeful. And I went back and watched the Sky Sports highlights, and they were also woeful. So I don't know what went wrong, but it was like watching through a microwave. And then last night, all four of the WSL games just didn't show up on the streaming service. It's been a bit of a weekend in terms of being an international WSL fan. So I missed the Emirates. I had a lot of FOMO, but I'm very excited for three points. And I think there's a lot to actually unpack about this game. Yeah, absolutely there is. And I assume they share a world feed because I'd seen this pretty much everyone
