Hello and welcome to another RSCAST Extra as always with James from GunaBlog James Goodly Morning to you.

0:17.0

Goodly Morning Andrew. Goodly Morning. How are you? I'm alright. Yeah. I'm okay. Yeah, I mean obviously it's not coming home for Christmas but you know I can live with it.

0:29.0

The World Cup is not Chris Ria, that's what you're saying. Exactly. Right. It's a million miles away from Chris Ria right now.

0:38.0

Well, but yeah, we'll see. I mean, yeah, I'll go France and William Celeba. Well, I say Anne William Celeba. I mean, you know, he's there but they're hiding him away from us, aren't they?

0:50.0

They are a bit. They are a bit. That might be a question we have for later on. I did notice a question about William Celeba a bit later on but we'll maybe ask that in due course but as an Englishman who owns a French bulldog your house must be quite divided this morning. Is everything okay?

1:11.0

Yeah, I know. I split in the cap but we've spoken about it this morning at some length and we've found some background. Some sort of cross channel harmony has been struck.

1:23.0

No, I mean, I thought it was actually a really good game. I kind of always expected for you know, I made France favorite going into that but I think they were two of the stronger teams in the tournament actually probably that came head to head in that match.

1:39.0

And I think whichever one won it might have made themselves if not favorites and certainly very strong candidates to go on and win it. I think probably France are favorites now.

1:51.0

But it was it was a slightly different sort of England exit to the kind of traditional one. I think they were a little bit unfortunate and played pretty well.

2:02.0

So it's unusual not to have too many recriminations after an England exit. I don't think they got a great deal wrong on the night.

2:11.0

I mean, it's the most efficient penalty should I defeat of England's history and fairness isn't it? You know, just the one Miss penalty and you're gone.

2:20.0

Yeah, I couldn't happen to a nice guy either.

2:23.0

No, that will no doubt will come to that and I'm sure listen, there are many England fans listening to this this morning who will be.

2:32.0

You know, I've said this before I think this is maybe the most talented England squad that I can remember for a long time bar in a one or two positions, which I think are a little bit suspect and I think they're probably obvious to everybody. But there is a lot of talent, a lot of flair and skill and everything else in this England squad.

2:53.0

I'd say that sort of exacerbates the exit, you know, as well as the fact that Spain or Germany or Portugal or Brazil or out, you know, it's not like winning the World Cup is easy in any way clearly.

3:10.0

But there must have been a sense that like if we can beat friends, then some of the big boys are gone and the teams that remain, which is to take nothing away from any of them.

3:24.0

You know, do have their qualities, but also their flaws as well.

3:29.0

Yeah, definitely the draw opened up a little bit as it did in the last World Cup when England ended up in a semi-final against Croatia who've got back to the semis again.

3:42.0

And I think that he had England beaten France.

3:46.0

As I say, they would have had a good chance as anybody have lifted that trophy.

3:51.0

I think that it is a very talented group and I think since as we forget the strength of the Premier League, you know, the level of quality that these players are playing at week in week out.

4:04.0

And I think we're beginning to see that now after such a long time, translate to the international stage.
