I think we can draw the correlation between bad results for Arsenal and James having a wonderful time, but I'm delighted.

Yeah, hey, thanks for having me on. This is the perfect occasion for it.

It absolutely is. And you know, it strikes me that there's something quite apt tonight about recording a podcast with a guy who's named after a singer whose most famous song is about heroin and who took his own life by stabbing himself in the chest.

I mean, that's the story. We can get into another podcast on how you stab yourself in the chest of death, but we probably don't want to give anyone any ideas tonight.

No, no, no, that's probably a good thing. It is tonight here and I have a glass of wine. It's daytime over there. So you're probably not as lucky to have that. And also, I'm quite lucky in that I only have to do this once.

I've got to do one podcast. You've got to record the Arsenal Vision podcast as well. So don't use up all your good material tonight. Save some for that one as well.

You obviously haven't listened to that podcast. Have you?

I listen regularly. It's the only Arsenal podcast I listen to. So I'm looking forward to see how you say the same thing in a slightly different way, which is basically our podcast every week.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, I think people can identify with that if they listen to this podcast or read the blog or anything else. There is a familiarity about

Arsenal these days trying to say the same thing in a slightly different way, but well, at least there was a little bit of variety tonight because

Arsenal has lost a third round FA Cup time for the first time in his 21 years at the club. So that's new.

Yeah, I mean, it's gone all for first. I mean, although he did it in quintessentially.

Arsenal, uh, Arson Vanger fashion. I feel like this was if you wanted to put, you know, a time capsule into the ground of what Arsenal and his second act were like, you might put this game in there.

Does he get off the hook for the fact that he didn't actually manage the game?

No, no, no, of course he did. I mean, he had supress by Yen's lame in there with his walkie talkie with his secret microphone.

And his Steve bold had the little thing in his ear, probably Neil Bamfield and Vic Aker's had one as well. There's probably all kinds of redundancy issues there in case one communication line broke down.

But no, he can't maybe someone had rubbed some polonium on pair murder sacker. That might explain some stuff. Well, I could. I thought per murder sackers comments after the game were really quite something.

I don't know if you've seen them yet. I would love to hear. I heard they were quite interesting. Well, you know, he said, uh, he said the manager made a lot of changes.

Give a lot of trust to players who haven't played a lot recently. And I don't think anybody justified their selection today. He said, uh, it's difficult because for those players who play today, that was probably a last chance to show up and show the manager they're ready to play more games. It's not the case anymore.

Yikes. Yeah. I mean, this is the club captain. And I don't think he, I don't think he's excusing himself from that either. It doesn't strike me that he's saying, well, you know, it was all them.
