Let's start your morning with today's outlook on the Kansas City Chiefs.

The defending Super Bowl champions begin phase 3 of their offseason program on Tuesday afternoon.

Fresh off of Monday's visit to the White House, you just heard Patrick Mahomes cut in front of Travis Kelsey as he attempted to take the podium after President Joe Biden.

Several former chiefs were in attendance, including Juju Smith-Schuster, Frank Clark, Carlos Dunlap, Andrew Wiley, Chad Henney, Chris Lamons, and former offensive coordinator Eric Biannamy.

They all joined President Joe Biden on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on Monday afternoon to celebrate the team's Super Bowl victory.

Feb. 38-35 victory over the Eagles was actually the team's third NFL Championship of Monday.

It was the first time they'd been able to take part in the tradition of appearing at the White House.

When the team won its first Lombardi F at 1969 season, the tradition had not yet been established.

In the summer after the team's 2019 championship, the nation was deeply into the coronavirus pandemic, so there was no White House ceremony held that season.

While the team looked at a good time at the White House on Monday, it was marred by the absence of chief CEO Clark Hunt, whose mother Norma Hunt sadly passed away on Sunday.

Team President Mark Donovan stood in for Hunt alongside head coach A&D Reid.

Norma Hunt is credited with being the only woman to attend all 57 Super Bowls, her first in 1967, and her latest in 2023, both featuring the Kansas City Chiefs.

Super Bowl 1 squad fell to the Green Bay Packers, 35-10, 56 years later, she watches the team won its third Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Our thoughts are with the Hunt family during this difficult time.

President Joe Biden did recognize Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, calling him one of the greatest quarterbacks of his generation.

And I predict, quote, of any generation, he called Titan Travis Kelsey one of the best Titans ever, and referred A&D Reid's accomplishments of winning more than 100 games with two different teams.

While Monday was the day of celebration for this Kansas City Chiefs team, Tuesday, they returned to the practice field for this next phase of organized team activities.
