I'm Stephen Surtle, let's start your morning with today's outlook on the Kansas City

Chiefs.

Here's what you need to know for Monday, December 12th.

The Kansas State Chiefs left Denver with the 34-28 win over the Broncos on Sunday.

It wasn't exactly a pretty performance, but what started out looking like a blowout

win got a little hairy down the stretch for the Chiefs.

That touchdown passed to Jerrick McKinnon, put the Chiefs up 13-0 at the start of the

second quarter.

Kansas City eventually went up 27-0 before allowing the Broncos to storm back through some

sloppy play.

What that flipped to McKinnon was, as pretty a play as you'll see Patrick Mahomes make

all year.

McKinnon had a huge game, leading the Chiefs in receiving with seven catches for 112 yards

and two touchdowns.

The Chiefs started off strong, but after some uncharacteristic mistakes by Patrick Mahomes,

the Broncos were able to capitalize and make it a close game.

Mahomes threw three interceptions against the talented Broncos defense, and it's only

the second time all season Patrick Mahomes has thrown multiple interceptions in a game.

Yeah, I mean, just three bad decisions, you look at them.

The first one, if I could just took an easy throw down, I'd try to force it to kill us.

The second one, I really was just trying to burn it, and he made a hell of a play.
