Late last week, the Pac-12 conference, which dates back more than a century, suddenly found itself completely falling apart.

This week, five teams, including Oregon, Washington, and Arizona, announce their plans to leave the conference that brings the total of Pac-12 teams' jumping ship to eight.

Today, the athletic Stuart Mandel tells us how a strange combination of arrogance and apathy took the Pac-12 from arguably its highest point a dozen years ago to now facing extinction.

So many decisions that would benefit a hindsight, you go, why did you do that?
