Charles Cornwallis in command at Charleston, South Carolina. General Cornwallis has been a part of our story in many earlier episodes, but since this is his first really big independent command and since he plays such a key role in the Southern Theater, I thought a refresher was in order.

He was the son of the Fifth Baron Cornwallis. His mother was the daughter of a Viscount. His uncle was the
