Hello and welcome back to Sotriology 101.

0:15.0

Today we're going to be continuing our discussion with the Armenian brothers that I was responding to last time, Luke Gowdy,

0:23.1

Dan Chappa, and Nicholas Nyola, who are doing a podcast critiquing my views with regard to

0:30.2

provisionism as it relates to Armenianism, especially with regard to the concept of total

0:35.6

innate inability that we are born ultimately

0:38.0

unable to respond positively to God's own means of revelation because of some kind of innate

0:46.0

condition within us that's either created from Adam and Eve when he created all mankind,

0:51.2

he created us with this incapacity to understand his revelation, which seems to be what Dan is promoting,

0:57.1

based upon my Facebook interaction with him, which is unheard of to me.

1:00.6

I've always heard it directed to the fall that because of the fall, we lost that capacity.

1:06.7

But what Dan seems to be saying now, it's not necessarily lost in the fall.

1:10.1

It's just something we were never created with, that Adam and Eve weren't created with the moral capacity to

1:15.3

respond positively to God's revelation unless there's some prevenient working of grace

1:20.0

that accompanies that revelation. Again, that's unheard of to me, but that's what he seems

1:26.1

to be promoting, at least in my most recent

1:28.3

interaction with him on Facebook. And that seems to be a very idiosyncratic perspective from my

1:34.5

view. Again, maybe I'm not understanding him completely, but let me just put it into the screen here

1:41.1

so that you can see what I'm talking about. We kind of went back and forth with him on Facebook, and he even says the answer to your first

1:47.9

question, which I asked him about this innate moral mobility because of the fall, because of

1:52.3

some of the things he said, to answer your first question is that mankind never had the moral

1:57.7

capacity to believe the gospel via creation, but God in his provenant grace was always providing the moral capacity to believe the gospel via creation. But God in his prevenient grace was always providing the moral capacity.

2:05.2

So, yes, people lose this moral enablement by rejecting the gospel.
