And yet, Australia is also home to dangerous and even deadly phenomena.

It's become something of a running joke that everything in Australia is trying to kill

Be it land or sea, there's bound to be something venomous lurking just around the corner.

For example, the blue-ringed octopus contains a bite that doesn't hurt it first, until

And then there's the Tai Pian, one of at least 100 venomous species of snakes in Australia.
