Prosecutor, stripped of their positions,

That was President Obama in May, responding to a Pentagon report that estimated that 26,000 service members were sexually assaulted last year.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York has been pushing a bill that would give military prosecutors rather than commanders the power to decide which cases to try.

She spoke last month at a press conference announcing the legislation.
