She is a material scientist in the Applied Materials Division at Argonne National Laboratory,

working on groundbreaking research into the recycling of lithium ion batteries, which obviously Leslie

is a big topic in particular these days, as is the ongoing EV news in general. Another big announcement from Ford this week kind of leads

the news. Yeah, quite an announcement. I mean, this was a bit of a shocker. Florida is actually separating its EV business out

from its business of making internal combustion engine

powered vehicles.

And this is a move to boost profits and they're also going to be

increasing their investment in EVs by about 50 billion dollars by

five zero billion dollars. The EV business is going to be a unit called Ford Model E and

meanwhile the other part will be called Ford Blue. And what's interesting about Model E, I don't know if this is a bit of a side story, but

Tesla wanted to use the name Model E because they were trying to create the word sexy on their models like

Model S, Model E, Model X, Model Y.

And Ford stopped them from using that E, so they went with three and I don't know many people may not

know why there is a model three that's in there but that's one of the reasons

why and now Ford is making good use of that model E name. And that was only one of the big
