My name's Dan, and I'm the editor of Science and Nature,

which is the monthly magazine from the team behind the week junior.

And I'm Michael, the acting deputy editor.

On this podcast, we investigate strange creatures, weird events and mysterious places.

And speaking of mysterious places, today, we're going to investigate perhaps, perhaps,

the most mysterious place on planet Earth, shall I tell you what it is, somewhere called Area 51 now.

Have you ever heard of that place?

Well, you might not have done because it's a very secretive military base in the US in the

Nevada desert. No one quite knows what goes on there, but they think it might have something to do

with aliens. Wow. So Area 51, go straight to area 50, turn left. If you get to area 52,

you've gone too far. Absolutely. You see area 49, you've not gone far enough. So you've got

a top secret place with strange happenings. This, I think we're set for a really, truly of this world mystery let's see if we can sneak in

and get some answers this is mysteries of science so michael in the introduction you told us a little

bit about area 51 you said it was a u US military base, but what actually goes on there?

Well, Dan, I can't tell you, but hopefully our expert guests can. So why don't we say hello to
