Holy Communion, along with Water Baptism, are two rituals or sacraments that Christians observe. What does it mean to take communion

in an unworthy manner? Can anyone take communion? Is communion supposed to be taken

every single service, every single day and so many more questions that people have that

we will answer in this video. Now if we rewind and go back to the original sin that humanity

committed, it happened with man eating what was forbidden and then their eyes were open in Genesis chapter 3.

If you remember the story of Jesus after his resurrection with two disciples walking away from Jerusalem and Jesus broke the bread

and then the Bible says in Luke chapter 24 verse 31 that their eyes were open when they took of the bread and they saw who Jesus really was.

It wasn't just a stranger walking with them. Holy Communion is really that time of remembering

and celebrating the triumphant work of Jesus Christ. Now communion is pretty much a continuation

of what Jewish people used to have this thing called Passover meal.

And they celebrated even after they left Egypt through God's miraculous power and intervention by killing of the innocent lamb.

This meal pretty much later on commemorated and became a memory of what God did for them in Egypt.

And Jesus came and during a Passover meal, for Jewish it was just their holiday, it was their Passover.

Jesus takes this meal and gives it a new meaning and saying that this is more than just celebrating exodus from Egypt,

this is actually all a foreshadow. This is all a shadow of the exodus that humanity is about to experience

through the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God. And Jesus says, I want you to keep undoing this, meaning keep on taking this communion.

Keep on doing this so

that you can remember not your exodus from Egypt, but your exodus from sin, curses,

and the kingdom of darkness. So Jesus instituted communion. In Luke chapter 22 verse 19, it says,
