Four minutes after ten is the time, what a glorious weekend. Hands up if you are back at the grindstone

while the rest of your family remains at the seaside. Oh, just me. Happy days. Speaking of happy days, we turn our attention this

morning to rather grim developments on the political landscape. Some slightly cynical attempts to ignore

Michael Heseltine while picking over the bones of what David Lammie said yesterday about the

extremely unpleasant tendencies of certain very, very prominent conservatives.

And that's what I want to examine with your help today.

I want to undo the attempt to conflate people I know who voted to leave the European Union

with people like Jacob Rees-Mogg who accidentally had dinner with a group of people

who called for the repatriation of people like

Doreen Lawrence or indeed Boris Johnson consorting with Steve Bannon, a man who suggests that you should wear the

accusation of racism as a badge of honour. Actually, didn't J-Dogg hang out with Bannon as well, I think.

So that's what I want to do.

I'm not quite sure how we're going to do it.

And as I said a moment ago, I only realized what I was thinking.

My thoughts only have finally arrived at a destination shortly before coming on air.

So it may all fall apart like the proverbial cheap suit before we even get to the quarter past break.

Later in the program, we'll be looking at Extinction Rebellion and their determination today

to disrupt the capital city and beyond in the hope of finally creating a political will,

a political appetite for the sort of policies that are needed in their view to save the very planet which we inhabit.

And then I like the story about no fault evictions being abolished.

I like it for a number of reasons,
