I want to let you know that one thing that pains me as a life coach

is often how we wait until we're really suffering until we make a change. We wait

until the job is completely intolerable or we're burnt out or we wait until the relationship is so

ugly before we leave or we get a credit card bill and it just brings us to our knees. We can't believe we're in so much debt before we think, you know what? No more. I have to make a change. I learned a lot about this being in the Al-Anon community for my father, who died of addiction.

Right? So often there is just this moment of someone's arrested, right?

Or they end up in hospital hospital or they black out horribly.

And something happens and that's their wake-up moment.

I'd like to offer something today that, oh myosh I just wish if I could make everyone hear this I would

You don't have to wait until something is intolerable to make a shift. In fact, something can

just be nice or good and you can abandon it. You can make a job. You know, when I was in my corporate career in the tech sector,

it was a good job.

I was making half a million dollars a year when I was 30 and I have no formal qualifications. So look I mean I was

appreciative. I felt wildly grateful for the opportunities I was given, I worked hard.

And the job if I had to describe it, if someone said,

how's work, I'd have gone, yeah, you know, it's good, it's good.

That's really all I had to say because it was good. I was full of appreciation.

But it wasn't my life's work. If I were to meditate and sit and think, you know, what contribution do I want to have in my lifetime?

What impact do I want to make? It wasn't around programmatic software.

But hey, my job was good. I remember even someone in my family said oh my gosh it'd be crazy it'd be crazy to do anything else
