Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters.

We devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

We are picking up with day six of our devotion on the Bible app titled The Upside Down Kingdom.

along and as always I'm going to read the scripture that I'm also going to pick up the Devo.

The scripture is Matthew chapter 5 verse 8 and it says this,

bless are the pure and heart for they shall see God.

The devotion is titled Seeing God.

I'm actually going to paraphrase the first little bit

because it's kind of long and I think I can summarize the point for us and then jump into like the real part of the

devotional that I think the author wants us to take home. So it opens up talking

about this woman's story, Fanny J Crosby, who sadly lost her sight in infancy due to a doctor's negligence.

However, she went on to compose over 9,000 hymns and really popular hymns and she was just known for her

extraordinary mind. The author just explained so many ways but just know apparently she

was like a genius and the way she could handle things so cool. But what's

interesting is the author went on to point out that those 9,000 hymns are only a small piece of her ministry and for over two decades she

visited marginalized and downtrodden of society at Manhattan's rescue missions and

she would motivate her listeners through

her music about that meeting of face-to-face with Jesus at the end and so it's just

a really beautiful thing that she was like the 9,000 hymns are only a small piece of what she

actually did showed her heart posture. I'm going to jump into the devotional insight that

says this. God examines our inner attitudes, evaluates our motives, and observes our private behavior.
