Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters for devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you. We're picking up with a new

devotional in the Bible app title experiencing friendship with God. There's a link to that in the

description if you guys want to follow along and as always I'm going to read the

scripture that I'm also going to pick up with the Devo and um just as a heads up I

kind of hand picked this one I didn't screen it that well. But just kind of after the

last handful of devotionals, especially yesterday's and it was talking about how like faith is not just like

knowledge it's an action and we always talk about how there's like a difference

between knowing God in your head and knowing God in your heart and yeah I don't know why maybe my heart needs it maybe your heart needs it I

don't know but I was really prompted with this desire for friendship with God of

course the Lord over my life, but also just a close connection, close intimacy with him where I feel like I know him.

Like there's difference between like I know about him and I know him. Like there's difference between like I know about him and I know him. You know what I mean? And so maybe you're there too or maybe you know someone who you can help get there. And so that's kind of the hope behind this one is that we can talk about like cool tips for Christian living

We can talk about like deep theology stuff. We can do all this different stuff which is great

But there's something so powerful about just knowing God and enjoying who he is.

Yeah, so that's why I chose this one.

Anyways, the scripture is John chapter 15 versus 9 through 17.

They say this, I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.

Remain in my love.

When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love just as I obey my Father's

commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with

my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow. This is my commandment. Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends.

You are my friends. If you do what I command, I no longer call you
