Business owners need to spend less time working in their business and more time working on

their business.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, like, before, before somebody takes an issue with this, let me explain the

difference because I'm not just calling you out.

Definitely calling myself out too.

You can think of working in your business like being in the weeds of everyday tasks.

You're doing things like answering emails, taking calls, lots of tasks that don't require

your personality or your definite intellect or your secret sauce.

Basically, working in your business is when you're doing things that are urgent.

So of course, if they're urgent, you're like, I got to do this.

I got to do this.

Okay, they're urgent in your day to day business, but they're not necessarily serving the long

term strategy of your business.

On the other hand, working on your business is when you do things that move the needle forward,

make brainstorming, big marketing initiatives or setting goals or taking courses.
