| 0:41.0 | We are witnessing a season with profound public tensions in the midst of headlines and stories |
| 0:48.3 | and agendas and debates that are often propelled forward on emotion. |
| 0:54.2 | It's never been more important to have clear research thoughts on how your vote will make |
| 0:59.6 | the impact you hope to see in your country and in our world. |
| 1:04.1 | And in a season of snap judgments when lines are being drawn separating us from one another, |
| 1:10.4 | it's equally as important to invest the time |
| 1:12.9 | to get to know one another, to get to know the other person as a human being, to better understand |
| 1:18.9 | their opinion and how they came to theirs. Too often instead, we cross our arms. We close our minds. We cast our judgments and our votes, while |
| 1:30.6 | arrogantly assuming that not only are we the ones uniquely privileged with wisdom, we're right, |
| 1:37.4 | but those we don't agree with are simply cursed with abject ignorance. They're wrong. |

| 1:47.4 | invest a little bit of time to learn more about a subject or open ourselves up a little bit more |
