Summary

In Galatians 2:21, Paul states that he does not wish to frustrate the grace of God – that is, to reject God’s kindness toward us. To illustrate this, we examine two Old Testament stories: one shows a person who received grace, the other shows someone who refused it with disastrous consequences. As we reflect on these examples, we see why we should respond in acceptance rather than disregard.

And the son just got a kick out of that. His rebellious

son liked getting his dad out of bed. And it really is the epitome of frustration. Well, Paul's going to

use this idea of frustrate and something that he doesn't want to do. Paul doesn't want to frustrate

something. And it's something that I hope you and I would learn today from Paul to say, well, man, I sure don't want to do. Paul doesn't want to frustrate something, and it's something that I hope you and I would

learn today from Paul to say, well, man, I sure don't want to frustrate this either. Because frustrating

this topic that Paul's on is going to be a problem, and it starts here in Galatians chapter 2,

right in verse 21. Let's take a look at our text.

We'll look at the whole chapter on Wednesday night, but verse 21 says,

I do not frustrate the grace of God.

For if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

If you remember Paul's on an argument with the Galatian church that we began last week,

and that is that the church, he was so amazed and marveled last week,

that the church was so soon removed from the good news of the gospel of grace.

2:04.1

And they left it for another gospel, which wasn't a gospel, but it was a contorted, tweaked out,

you know, perverted gospel. And we talked about how that's a problem today. We have a lot of
