Welcome to season four of the Jada Edwards podcast. As always, God is giving us his word to share

personal stories and great conversations you are going to want to hear. I remember a time in the

summer where I was, I had just gotten some really good news, some ministry stuff. I was about to

start a new project and I was excited because you know how you're waiting

on that thing, and then you're trying to be godly in case the Lord don't do it. You're like, Lord, it's okay. I know you're sovereign. But then when he does it, you're like, yes, God, you came through. Thank you, Lord. So I had just gotten some really good news and I remember I was about to call a friend to tell her about this news and

She called me and I was like oh my gosh. I was just about to call you and she was like hey

And I was like oh what what just happened and she had gotten some really terrible news and was really going through a period of loss in her life. And I remember the first

several minutes of that conversation just feeling like, I don't know what to do right here. Because

it took me a minute to come down off of what was on my mind. And I was like, there's not going

to be a point in this conversation where I could tell her what I want to share with her and I really need to be

present and I don't want to just be like oh I'll pray for you you know the emoji praying hands and I was

I really wanted to hear what she was saying and I and I as she was talking I remember this moment

I've been like okay God there there is got to be a way for me to be fully in this moment with her, you know, even though

I'm, you've given me this amazing blessing today.

How do I fully engage with her?

And it really started to stir my thoughts about how often we're in this tension.

We're in so many spaces in the workplace, some of you who have already sent in questions,

in the workplace, in our parenting, in our friendships, in the daily highs and lows of our

life, where we're trying to figure out how to navigate that space.

Love well, love God well, still be fully us.

Because the challenge is that the tension is different than opposition, which is what we talked
