social media feeds and simply talk about good arguments and bad arguments.

I am here to sniff out the difference.

A lot of the things we talk about will be wise, a lot will be deeply unwise,

some will be funny, some scientific, some of them ugly.

But all of these conversations, I hope, will make some of us just a little uncomfortable.

Music will make some of us just a little uncomfortable. Today on the show, love him or hate him, he is one of the world's most provocative and interesting thinkers, neuroscientist, writer, philosopher, podcaster, flamethrower, troublemaker,

Sam Harris. He's been published everywhere, including The New York Times,

his bestselling books, The End of Faith and Letter to a Christian Nation,

eviscerated religion, both Islam and Christianity.

He's dabbled in philosophy with his books, The Moral

Landscape and Free Will. And his new book, Making Sense, is a companion to his podcast of the

same name. Great podcast. You should listen to it if you haven't. I could spend three hours

with Sam Harris talking about nothing except the culture wars and political correctness

and the breakdown of civil conversation, the madness of the far right and the far left.

But I didn't.
