Well, thank you for taking this time to be with me today on enjoying everyday life.

I'm going to start with a question, and it's a big question.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

Are you positive or negative?

Do you see what's wrong or what's right?

And it's not wrong to see what's wrong,

but if that's all you see,

then you're going to live a pretty miserable life.

Are you what they call half glass empty or half glass full?

You know, I used to be so negative.

My father was very negative and he actually taught me to be negative.

He told us you can't trust anybody.

Everybody's out to get you.

And he just had a sour, bitter attitude.

And so I had had a lot of bad things happen to me.

Just a lot of bad things for a long time.

And I got to the point where I kind of lived waiting for the next bad thing to happen.

And God taught me out of Proverbs 1515 that that's called evil forebodings.

And if we get to the point where we get so negative that we're just expecting bad things,

then that's all you're ever going to have is bad things.
