Do you ever find yourself hesitating, feeling indecisive, going through life a little timidly, making decisions but not necessarily bold ones, sticking a toe in, sticking a foot in. I think we all

do this to some capacity in different areas of our lives. And I have an incredible fable for you today,

one of ASOP's fabulous fables, talking about this specifically. It is called the boy and the nettles. Now,

I've been hearing your feedback that you're really enjoying these fables because look, they're

two and a half thousand years old and they're still relevant now. Talk about wisdom that's

timeless, ageless, beautiful. They can just absolutely, I feel like it knocks me back

into sense when I pay attention to these fables and I love to read them daily.

Here is the story, my friend, the fable of the boy and the nettles.

A boy was once stung by a nettle. He ran home and told his mother, saying,

although it pains me so much, I did but touch it ever so gently. That was just it, said his mother,

which caused it to sting you. The next time you touch a nettle, grasp it boldly, and it will be as

soft as silk to your hand and not in the least bit hurt you. Whatever you do, do it with all your

might. Now, my friends, I have no idea if this is true with nettles. Don't go grabbing one.

For sure, I will not be doing this. But the lesson here is profound, isn't it? Are you doing

something timidly, half-heartedly, or are you going all in? There is a danger to living life

half-heartedly over time, being half in a relationship,

being half in a career, being somewhat committed to a business, or pretty into an idea

and moving forward with it.
