So John Bevere laid a great foundation for you last night on the fear of the Lord.

Always he was so shocked.

I had run into him a couple, two years ago. He spoke for a business

organization. I run now. And, and I told them how much I love the message. Some of these

messages, like, this is like seven mountains when you hear it. Some of you have heard it so many

times, I hate to say it to you again, but there's new people here. I understand we've got new students, young people. And so it's weird. I never heard it. So, but I told John, I said, that's such a great message. And he looked at me like, haven't you heard it? I've been doing it for 10 years. But if it's a Rima, it's like an amazing grace, you know, there are some songs that kind of come and go,

and you can go into a church and hear them singing a Hosanna song that's five years out of day.

The shelf life is already expired, and they don't know it.

But the fear of the Lord is like a word for our generation.

But I would like to add something to it.

I used to be very legalistic.

And the fear of the Lord led me to a kind of a critical nature, a sober nature, a nature which had a high standard for me and a high standard for everyone

else. And if I caught you compromising on that internal standard, I withdrew from you,

and I wouldn't hear from you or listen to you. And so I want to caution you on something,

which, because this virus goes around all the time. And you know, it's like pink eye in

the nursery. Once you hear it's there, like, it's like pink eye in the nursery.

Once you hear it's there, anyone who's ever had a church, they take it serious. Like, oh,

boy, because it somehow spreads. The, uh, remember this, the difference between a religious

spirit and the fear of the Lord. See, the fear of the Lord can get you into religious spirit.
