Let's talk about these three characteristics

in the dark triad.

Where did we start?

So, maybe you should talk to someone,

the first patient that I introduce is this guy, John,

and he's like 40 and married and has some kids,

and he's very successful, and he's an asshole.

Basically, he's insulting to me, he's rude,

he thinks everyone is an idiot,

and he's smarter than everybody else.

He's very abrasive and hard to like.

By the end of the book, people like him the most,

not because of the traits at the beginning,

but because you see why he behaves in the way he does.

Sort of like what's underneath that

and where's his humanity and everything else

that sort of led to that and how he changes.

So, I think when you talk about a continuum,

I think that, first of all, narcissism is,

a lot of people use it very loosely,

especially on the internet, everyone's a narcissist,
