this is one of those episodes that I just so wished I was in the same room as Louise

with four hours instead of one hour.

I apologize for the audio, the quality of the audio. It's not quite as good

as my usual standards because the portable studio that I normally used was not with me. So we were

just sort of chatting on a laptop. It's a shame because Louise is such an interesting person

with so many interesting ideas. So excuse my tinny audio and

hers and the fact that I was kind of whispering because my children were asleep in Australia and she was

kind of whispering because she has a 17 month old. It was presumably napping in the UK. Louise is a writer

and campaigner. She's a columnist at the New Statesman. She's a features writer for the Daily Mail. She is the co-founder of a non-partisan feminist think tank. And she's become suddenly one of the most important young feminist voices in the UK. We do not go into trans and gender issues here. This is

focused on the gender of the two binary sexes and whether or not men differ from women and

whether women have been ill-served in some ways by the shift in gender dynamics and the sexual revolution

that's taken place over the past couple of generations.
