0:08.0	This is the James Altature Show. I'm a real optimistic person. I remember in the depths of the Great Recession in 2008, 2009, I was, I would go on
0:25.3	NBC and I was just super optimistic and see NBC was almost disgusted with me
0:29.7	that I was so optimistic. That's how optimistic I was because everyone else was saying
0:33.3	capitalism is dead and after 9-11 was really you know I lived about three blocks from the
0:40.8	World Trade Center I had breakfast at the World Trade Center that
0:43.6	morning and of course it was very horrible for many many people there much
0:48.7	more horrible than anything I experienced but at the same time out of that, even though it just seemed like the worst
0:56.2	thing in the world, there were still reasons for hope.
0:59.2	Like America had come together and don't forget, we were in the middle of a bare market then it
1:04.8	was the dot-com bust and now there was this terrorism on US soil there were a
1:09.2	lot of reasons to be depressed and in fact the market itself didn't recover for another almost year and a half
1:14.9	after 9-11 and I lost my home during this point because I didn't yet know anything
1:21.1	about investing or trading and just made a lot of bad decisions and
1:25.4	but I still had hope that when the dust settled things would get better and I was very excited
1:31.5	about my own opportunities and right now we're in a situation
1:36.2	where it's pretty scary because I don't know what it is like right now we're in
1:40.8	more wars than ever and they're all proxy wars it's not like oh the US
1:45.2	declares war on so and so and so now we're at war like as much as I hate the war against
1:51.1	Afghanistan and the war in Iraq The US was fighting for something. But right now these are all
1:56.6	proxy wars. So you know US involvement in Ukraine and Israel versus Hamas and Hezbollah.
2:04.3	This is all about, you know, obviously Russia and China
