We're going to jump into a rather heady topic and a rather

long-winded topic which I haven't really discussed here on the podcast since

the look back at my collection of old podcasts it's been like like five, let's see, six years ago. Six years ago right about now,

we started talking a little bit about the issue of dualism and whether or not there was any good reason to believe we were more

than just material beings.

Now boy, a lot has sure been written in the last couple of years related to this.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to start today's podcast.

Let me open this up. I just was just looking at this issue because a book was published this year that really asked some good questions I think and challenges is written by an atheist who's

taken just a scathing beating from his his peers related to a book he wrote

called My mind and Cosmos let me just I've got a place here, I've bookmarked, let me just hop over there, I should have

had this stage in advance, but Thomas Nagel wrote a book called Mind and Cosmos. And this book, which came out earlier this year has just had a huge ripple effect in the

scientific community most of most often being criticized by those folks who are in the same naturalistic

materialistic camp that Nagel is in to begin with and it just goes to show
