Dr. Feigelding, welcome back to the program. I wanted to talk with you about complacency around

COVID and monkey pox. And let me start with a monkey pox thing because the breaking headline at the

top with a bright red banner in the washroom posed just 10 minutes ago was first monkey pox case

found in Virginia. When this started a few weeks ago, I didn't frankly cover it on this program

because I thought, this is an obscure disease, it's going to be easily handled, it seems not to be

that big a deal and everybody is getting hysterical about it. You want to do a reality check for us

please? Yeah, monkey pox, it creeps up on you. And this is very different than monkey pox

traditionally. There's a lot of people who hand wave, oh this is something that's a milder form

of smallpox and oh a lot of people have immunity except anyone under 50 does not. Oh you know,
