Okay, so for the first time in seven weeks, Major League Baseball and the Players Union actually met in person to try to end the lockout, or at least move closer to ending the lockout.

Their last in-person meeting on December 1st took all of seven minutes.

This one lasted about two hours, with the union presenting a proposal that included two major concessions, and they have another meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

Is there reason to be optimistic, or does pessimism rain as the lockout continues?
