The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- On Wednesday, President Donald Trump announced “Liberation Day”—explaining that for decades the United States economy has been punished by onerous tariffs placed on American-made goods being exported internationally. Trump signed an executive order placing “reciprocal tariffs” on imported goods. The policy will take effect at midnight on April 5th. The reciprocal tariffs will be half of what trading partners are currently charging the U.S. A 10% universal baseline tariff will be applied to all countries considered to be acting in bad faith. Will the Trump Administration remove tariffs on countries that remove tariffs on American-made goods? Trump stated: “To all foreign presidents, prime ministers, kings, queens, ambassadors, and everyone else who will soon be calling to ask for exemptions to these tariffs, I say—terminate your own tariffs, drop your barriers, don't manipulate your currencies…and start buying tens of billions of dollars of American goods.” 3:15pm- In response to the Trump Administration’s reciprocal tariff announcement, the S&P 500 fell 4.6%—with American companies Nvidia and Apple shedding a combined $470 billion in market value. 0:36.8	And I think everybody is in a wait, watch, and C mode at this present time and moment.
0:43.0	President said today, which is reassuring, countries are going to be calling to make deals.
0:48.5	So that means, hopefully, they will be calling to make deals.
0:53.5	And that will mean that that will result in freer, fairer trade.
0:59.7	It will benefit the United States of America.

1:04.3	If that is the outcome, that would be fantastic.
1:06.8	I don't think that many countries are going to sit back and try to do reciprocal, reciprocal tariffs, because I don't think it benefits them to do so.
1:16.9	And I think that there is a point where these countries are going to say, well, if we're going to have to make this work for the sake of importing into America, then we're going to have to make this work.
1:28.5	And we're going to have to find a way to make it work.
1:31.4	That's what I hope happens.
1:32.7	I think we're all hoping that happens, obviously.
