Now on with the Thursday edition, United Airlines and Delta Airlines have both suspended flights to Israel, halting planned flights to Tel Aviv amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

United told media in a statement, quote, beginning with this evening's flight from Newark Liberty to Tel Aviv, we're suspending for security reasons our daily Tel Aviv service

as we evaluate our next steps. Delta posted a notice on its website that its flights between New York

JFK and Tel Aviv will be paused through Friday. As you know, on Tuesday, an Israeli air strike in Beirut targeted and killed

Faud Shakur, a key commander of the terrorist group Hezbollah.

Shakur was the Hezbollah commander who was behind a drone strike that killed 12 children

and teens on a soccer field in Israel over the weekend.

Then Hamas leader Ishmael Hanya was assassinated in Iran on Wednesday,

prompting Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khomeini to declare that it's Iran's duty to take revenge

for the attack. Iran's Ayatolli Khomeini has ordered a direct strike on Israel following the

killing of that Hamas leader. The New York Times reported, according to three sources, quote,

Mr. Kameney gave the order at an emergency meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council on Wednesday morning,

shortly after Iran announced that Mr. Hanyah had been killed,

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed his country on Wednesday and said that Israel's enemies will, quote,
