Derek Chauvin has been charged with three very serious crimes.

Second degree murder, third degree murder,

and second degree manslaughter for his role

in the death of George Floyd.

You'll hear from me in this seminar on criminal law

why second degree and third degree murder

does not seem to be applicable in this case

and why the only charge that seems applicable

to the facts of this case is second degree manslaughter.

So in other words, we may see acquittals on the murder charge

and possibly a conviction on the manslaughter charge.

How will the public react to that?
